Baby Car Seat

General information, not safety advice. This website publishes general information only. It is not safety advice, legal advice, product certification, or a substitute for the restraint label, the manufacturer instructions, or a fitting by an authorised restraint fitter. Child restraint laws are set by each state and territory and can change. Check your own jurisdiction and the current standard before you buy, install, or travel.

Privacy

We collect as little as a small editorial site needs, and we do not sell mailing lists of parents.

If you use the contact form, FormSubmit processes the message you send so it can reach the editorial inbox. Do not include information you would not put on a postcard. Do not send images that identify a child.

Server logs and hosting analytics may record ordinary technical data such as IP addresses and pages requested. We do not use that data to build a dossier of families.

Third-party links — CREP, Kidsafe, ACCC, state agencies — have their own privacy notices. Following those links leaves this site.

To ask a privacy question, use contact.

This page is general information for Australian readers. It is not safety advice, a product ranking, or a fitting service. Always read the restraint label and the manufacturer instructions, confirm the current rule with the road agency in the state or territory where you are driving, and have the finished install checked by an authorised fitter.

Children

Do not send us personal information about a child. We do not want a date of birth, a photograph, or a medical file. If your question needs those facts, you need a clinician or a fitter, not a publisher.

Need a page clarified?

We publish education, not fittings or product rankings. If a page is unclear, send the URL and your state — we will not advise on a specific child’s seat.
